Adrian-Paul Liddell Eng Tech MCIPHE RP RHP & Master Plumber 

Bio 

 

Whilst being a blue collar apprentice trained qualified Plumbing, Heating & Mechanical Engineer by trade, Adrian has held a number of senior white collar positions, within FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 blue chip companies. He also has deep rooted experience of the Construction, Housing, Utility, Local Authority and Housing Association Low Carbon & Micro-Generation Sectors, he is F-Gas Cat 1 Qualified, G3 Unvented qualified, MCS qualified and registered, and also an accredited BPEC Heat Pump installer, he is also a very proud member of the CIPHE as well as being a Registered Heating Professional and Registered Plumber and holds the title of EngTech with the Engineering Council.


He has been involved with and responsible for numerous multi-million pound successful major business breakthrough initiatives, whilst maintaining and growing strong balance sheets, as well as adopting a risk reduction orientated approach to trading, whilst retaining an entrepreneurial perspective. This including a high level of integration with key Governmental departments, delivery mechanisms, representative groups, Institutes, Charities, Trusts and Associations. He formerly participated as a Scheme Management Board Member alongside DEFRA, for the UK Governments’ Warm Front Scheme. He has also contributed towards a number of key industry ‘think tanks’, ‘steering and lobby groups’ that have supported a variety of policy shaping Government departments such as LGA/BERR/CLG/DECC to BEIS and DEFRA. 

He sat on the Building Research Establishments 'Talking Water' panel – (efficient energy and water management). Summit Skills Group, A1 Low Carbon Solutions Management Team, EEPH’s Insulation Strategy Group and also DECC’s Action for Insulation Group, which helped to define key low carbon policy for some of the Governments Carbon Reduction strategies. He was also the founder member of the Scheme Management Board for the Local Government Association’s CROSS – (Carbon Reduction One Stop Shop). 

Adrian has an integrated experience of working within the Energy Retail Sector, including the ECO & Obligation Driven Grant Aided & Carbon Reduction Markets, as well as the continuous drive towards tackling fuel poverty of which is core to his beliefs.

He was the Managing Director of a company that was responsible for taking the Tesco Home Efficiency scheme to market in 2008, and the Marks & Spencer Energy Home Services scheme in 2010. 

As a former CEO and Director of an influential renewable tech group, which included a key sustainable tech consulting division, as well as an unregulated financial investment boutique. ​He also held a shareholding in an LED Lighting distribution company. ​

Adrian is also a former part time Certification Body Field Officer, inspecting and auditing other installers works, to ensure that the standards are being upheld, in particular in regards to renewable technology. 

 

Formally he sat on the MCS Working Group, contributing with others, towards the extremely important MCS Standards for Heat Pumps.  

But above all, he specialises in detailed design, and the first class delivery of energy efficient, carbon saving/reducing,  turn key projects, and he is more often than not, found on site with his customers and his team, delivering the measures as the engineer he is.
